Sincerest apologies to all you lovely watchers! As expected, college is getting harder with each passing semester. (...And yet still more fun.) Also, I studied abroad for a month, so that took some time away. So thank you all for your patience, and all the watches, llamas, and faves given during my absence. I promise (to try!) to be more active in the upcoming months!

It was okay. I didn't like it as a Sleeping Beauty retelling, but I did like it as a movie in and of itself.



SPOILERS!, if you haven't seen it yet.

I thought it was weird that Maleficent was in love with Stefan, even though it made for a good story, and I didn't like how Stefan went crazy. It creeped me out.

But the one thing I reeeally did not like was how Maleficent told the sleeping Aurora that she "had been consumed by hatred and revenge" but learned to love.

And then she just let Stefan die.

I mean, she didn't kill him herself, but... she let him fall. I was waiting for her to swoop down and save him at the last minute, or something... and she didn't... I felt as if that took away from the whole resonating theme of love and conquering hatred and bitterness.

Oh, well. Thank you for letting me have my say.

A big thank you to all who favourited by latest painting ! It reached 100, and, while it's definitely not a big deal in comparison to all the other magnificent works out there, it's the first time I've ever gotten that many favourites, and it really made my day!

Actually, it was really just a practice piece/born out of boredom, so I don't know how it's my most favourited. Is it because Maleficent is due to come out? Or did I unconsciously do something different from my usual style? Any advice is much appreciate -- I'm always looking for ways to improve!

I apologize to my watchers for not posting anything lately. (Well, I feel like it's been a while; perhaps you're glad I've stopped!) College is a lot harder than I thought it would be, and no me gusta. :c   I have a few pictures I'm going to try to upload soon -- as soon as I can catch a break. Most of them are -- le gasp -- original, not fan art. (I feel like I do way too much fanart 'round here.)

I just got back from Winter Jam and it was AWESOME!!!!

Winter Jam is a 40-ish city tour of 10 Christian artists. This year's lineup included Royal Tailor, Matthew West, Sidewalk Prophets, RED, Jason Castro, Jamie Grace, and others, with headliner toyMac. It was a wonderful experience, worshipping God with so many different styles of music, and 11,000+ other people. (Yeah. 11,000. From a little ole' hillbilly state.)

Jamie Grace was one of my favorites. She said something along the lines of: "People always think it's so awkward that I'm a 21-year-old Christian singer and I sing so many love songs. What they don't seem to understand is that maybe I'm not singing to a boy. Maybe I'm singing to my Best Friend, Jesus." And then she proceeded to sing this song:

Anyway, it just really tugged my heart strings, and I wanted to share it. :3 And I want Jesus to be MY Best Friend, and my First Love. He just really challenged me to love Him more.

So ANYWAY. Go look Jamie up! And tobyMac. And all the others. You know you want to.
