Wife of Joseph. (Genesis 41:45)
Her father was the priest of On (which was apparently the city Heliopolis, of the sun god Re). According to the apocryphal Joseph and Asenath, Joseph refused to marry a pagan, and Asenath refused to marry anyone else. So she locked herself in a tower and rejected the Egyptian gods for Yahweh. Bees came and stung her lips to purify them of her prayers to pagan gods. Then Joseph married her, and they ruled Egypt for a while, before giving the throne back to Pharaoh's grandson.
Or so Wikipedia tells me.
I've just always thought it was an interesting story, and have been wanting to try my hand at drawing it for years. I'm happy with it for the most part, although there are definitely some things I wish I could change... Ah well, the artist's curse.

I don't know if unsettling was the mood you were going for, but the thumbnail definitely appeared that way to me. Looking at it in more detail, it's more intruiguing than anything else.
